The Competition Tribunal dismissed the complaint by Asociación Gremial de Industrias Proveedoras del Sector Privado del Comercio y de Supermercados AGIP A.G. against Dictamen N° 1283 of the Comisión Preventiva Central, that had solved that association’s accusation against IANSA, for improper elimination of competition in the markets of sugar and sweeteners, abuse of a monopsonic position, price discrimination and intervening in sugar import quotas.
The Tribunal stated that the plaintiff did not substantiate its complaint with solid enough economic arguments.
In November 30, 2005, the Supreme Court confirmed the Competition Tribunal’s ruling.
